How much oil should I use in my machine?
The amount of oil you use should correlate to how much you’re sewing. A good gauge is one drop of oil in each of your machine’s oil holes once a week. If you’re sewing on a daily basis, you might increase the frequency to every three or four days. If you’re sewing all day, every day, you could try adding oil every other day.
If you see oil on your presser foot, decrease the amount of oil you’re using. If you add too much oil, it will leak out of the machine.
Another good way to determine whether your machine needs oil is to wait for it to tell you; when you notice a change in your machine’s performance, it’s probably time to add oil. Just remember that less is more, and one drop at a time is sufficient.
What’s the difference between the TL, MO, and the HZL models?
